Web Standards Compliance

Like in any industry, World Wide Web also has certain standards that every home page should comply with. This is to ensure that the sites that the public will be visiting can meet their demands. In line with this, the World Wide Web Consortium, commonly known as the W3C, has required all web pages to comply with these standards.

If you are planning to create a web page of your own, then you must know about these standards. In this article, we have provided you with the quick insight of the web standards and how to comply with them.
Web standards generally refer to the formal specifications that the W3C has formulated to let the web pages reflect the aspects of the Internet. In the past year, web standard is associated with the best practices for creating web pages but now, it has evolved to being a philosophy that every web developer and designer adheres to. Web standards basically consist of the following;

• Standards that are formulated by the International Organization for Standardization or the ISO
• The code published by the Unicode Technical Reports

API (Architects Pacific Inc) a Honolulu based Architects firm, approached us to discuss the reconstruction of their website.

They were in search of a modern layout with full features such as porfolio, blog, contact page with map along with directions to the office as well as a custom CMS that will allow them to change and update the website content on their own.

After many meetings we came up with a design that demonstrated exactly what they were looking for. We went to work and finished all layouts and proceeded to program the entire site in Ruby On Rails.
